Abasyn University Peshawar

Abasyn University,    Peshawar was build in December 2007 through promulgation of an ordinance by the Governor KPK following recommendation of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad for grant of charter to Abasyn University, Peshawar, upon fulfillment of the bench-marks laid down by the Commission and the Federal Cabinet. Subsequently, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly ratified the promulgation of the Ordinance through Act No. XIII of 2009.Abasyn University was the first University of KPK having been placed in the highest category ‘W’ by HEC right away. Abasyn University established a distinctive new Campus in the city of Peshawar. The Higher Education Commission has awarded category- “W3” to Abasyn University in the new ranking system which is a recognition of the efforts made by the University to build a standard infrastructure and to provide quality education opportunities to its students.
DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTING AND TECHNOLOGY
The Department of Computing and Technology offers BS in Computer Science, Telecommunication & Networks, Software Engineering and Electronics in morning timings. The Department has also started a strong Postgraduate and Doctoral degree program.  By providing a diverse range of contents in our program, we are trying to make sure that our students are fit for various career opportunities, all of which are exciting, rewarding, and greatly needed for our rapidly developing country. Depending upon their choice, they may either join field jobs, such as Software Engineers, Network Engineers, Hardware and Software Vendors, Consultants, Programmers, etc., or work in academic institutions as researchers or teachers.
DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERNG
Civil Engineering the oldest non-military profession usually includes a variety of engineering specialties like structural engineering, transportation systems, fluid mechanics, water resources, geo-systems,environmental engineering, etc. Civil Engineerswork in a broad spectrum of engineering situations and find employment opportunities in both public and private sectors. Civil engineers work with construction firms, manufacturing companies, power companies, the petroleum industry, mining concerns, and with consulting engineering firms. Many opportunities for civil engineering employment exist in district, provincial and federal engineering departments and in various agencies of the government. The Department of Civil Engineering has been established in 2014 at the Abasyn University Islamabad Campus. Currently this department offers program of BE in Civil Engineering. The Department is equipped and staffed to offer MS and PhD programs in Civil Engineering and its various specialties and sub-specialties in the near future.
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a four years of degree program of BE Electrical Engineering which is permitted by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) after a successful visit of the PEC inspection team. Accreditation granted for Intake 2010 only with Ref: PEC/AD/Abasyn-P/CL-70/2014. The main objective of this program is to provide quality education in the field of Electrical Engineering. The desired output of the program is to produce electrical engineers who are able to handle the technical issues of the field today and are prepared to address the challenges of ever growing and ever changing field of Electrical Engineering.  Our industry oriented curriculum makes sure that our graduates will be able to fulfill the requirements of the local and foreign industry. Our focus on incorporating R&D practices in the academics will make sure that our graduates are able to work on novel problems and come up with ground breaking solutions. Abasyn University Islamabad has also started BE in Civil Engineering after a successful visit of the PEC inspection team.
PHARMACY
The Department of Pharmacy offers Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D program) recognized by Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) and M.Phil program as well. The university has established a number of laboratories to support students of this department for their practical work. Highly qualified faculty has joined the University for Pharm-D program.
DEPARTMENT OF LIFE SCIENCES
The Department of Life Sciences offers two bachelor and one master programs at this stage. The Department is also planning to launch its research activity through Master program very soon. The two programs are offered maximum. The main obejctive of the Department is to create specialist, who have following bachelor programs.
GRADUATE STUDIES
The MBA program aims at developing student’s intellectual ability, executive personality and managerial skills through an appropriate blending of business and general education. The MBA curriculum provides students with a comprehensive management education of globally recognized best practices with flexibility of their adaptation to indigenous entrepreneurial and societal context.  Graduate StudiesCore courses taught integrate information and theories from various disciplines, including communication, economics, financial accounting, quantitative methods, business strategy, marketing, finance, organizational structure and strategic management and prepare the students to think critically about business issues in order to enable them to develop strategic level understanding and demonstrate comprehension of complex theoretical constructs in the major business disciplines and technologies.Upon completion of the program, many graduates go on to become successful entrepreneurs, or to assume leadership positions in major local and multinational corporations, in consulting firms, or in government service.source=peshawar.abasyn.edu.pk

UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL PUNJAB  Education in the twenty-first century demands a balance between continuity and change.
