Forman Christian College,    A Chartered University, a private, not-for-profit education institution, was established in 1864.Academic excellence and the preparation of leaders who understand the value of service have been the hallmarks of education at the institution since its inception. Department of Business
The Department of Business at Forman Christian College was established in 2005 and has already gained a reputation for the quality and diversity of its programs. It aims to add value to its program participants learning and knowledge. The programs have been designed by a team that has a rich experience of developing and leading high quality management programs at undergraduate, graduate, and at Executive levels, in Pakistan. The Department of Business, together with the Department of Economics, comprise the School of Management.
Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science is part of the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) and Mathematics. It offers a rigorous undergraduate program for students who are excited by the influence of computing and want to tackle the IT challenges of tomorrow. Computer Science is a fast-changing field. Our program aims to equip students with a fundamental knowledge that enables them to keep abreast of the developments, to contribute in the field of IT and to innovate.
Department of Education
Forman Christian College’s Department of Education was revamped in 2003 when the college returned to private ownership. It is gaining a reputation for being one of the finest Education Departments in the country. It offers 4-year BA (Hons) and BS (Hons) degrees in Elementary and Secondary Education as well as a Certificate in English Language Teaching and an Advanced Diploma in English Language Teaching.
Department of Biological Sciences
The Biological Sciences Department was founded in 1870. A long line of distinguished professors – including Dr Saithi, Dr Purio, Dr HK Bhatti and Dr KK Bell – have made significant contributions to the Department and the field of Biological Sciences, in general.The last few years have been busy and productive for the department. At the undergraduate level, 4-year degrees in Biology and Biotechnology were established. Also, cross-disciplinary degrees in Bioinformatics and Environmental Sciences were initiated.The well qualified and experienced faculty is involved in various research programs involving both graduate and undergraduate students. The department has nine dedicated, six teaching laboratories as well as state-of-the-art equipment. UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL PUNJAB  Education in the twenty-first century demands a balance between continuity and change. The technological leaps and the consequences thereof have overtaken the old educational paradigms and new concepts have emerged in the world of learning. The Punjab Group of Colleges PGC was among the first to realize this transition and its challenges. The PGC, therefore, submitted a petition to the Government of the Punjab, in August 1996, to allow to establish a university in the province. A No Objection Certificate was issued in October 1999.
